Michael Eric Adams “Mike”, 44 of Lexington Park, MD passed away on March 11, 2016 at Hospice House of St. Mary’s. Born on May 15, 1971 in Washington, DC, Mike was the loving son of Karen A. and Dennis R. Adams. Mike is survived by his wife Jennifer A. Adams whom he married on April 2, 2011 in Hollywood Methodist Church. He is also survived by his daughter Olivia Ann Adams, siblings: David (Sandra) Adams of Hollywood, MD, Joseph (Melanie) Adams of Clements, MD, Christina Toler of Laurel, MD, Katherine Adams of Sterling, VA, James (Krissie) Adams of Laurel, MD, Elizabeth (Keith) O’Neal of Wake Forest, NC, Matthew Adams of Linthicum Heights, MD and Nicholas Adams of Mechanicsville, MD. A lifelong St. Mary’s County resident, Mike graduated from Chopticon High School in 1989, and received an Associate’s Degree from Charles County Community College. He was employed with PAE (CSC) for 15 yrs. and was a Lead Engineering Technician. Mike was a member of Moose Lodge #2393 and Elks Lodge # 2092. He enjoyed NASCAR, crabbing, fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding and flying model airplanes. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel with prayers recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Morganza, MD with Fr. Keith Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: George Bowles, Michael Trossbach, David Adams, Joseph Adams, James Adams, Nicholas Adams, Patrick Boecher and Richard Boecher. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tammy Knott, Buddy Dean, Christina Toler, Katherine Adams and Elizabeth O’Neal. A Memorial Fund has been established for Mike’s daughter Olivia Adams at PNC Bank.

  4. Mr. & Mrs. Adams and family. I just returned home from the funeral home for my aunt where I found out about Mike. I am so saddened by this news. Mike and I are Old friends from long ago playing soccer and CCD. Your whole family was such nice people to us. I can not say enough that I am so saddened by this. He may be gone from our sight for now, but never far our hearts. Olivia – your daddy loved you more than NASCAR and his face and voice just radiated a special warmth when he talked about you. Please know he will be watching over you and smiling and encouraging you as you grow up.
