Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Visitation: Public visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, August 27, 2006 from 2 - 5 PM with Prayers being said at 3:00 PM. Michael Joseph Long, 46, of Mechanicsville, MD, died August 22, 2006 at Bayside Care Center after a long illness. Born August 23, 1959 in Washington, D.C he was the son of Mary " Joan" Long of Mechanicsville, MD and the late Thomas L. Long, Sr. He is survived by his siblings: Ellen Long of Mechanicsville, MD, Thomas L. Long Jr. of Chesterfield, VA, Gerri Stokel of Leonardtown, MD, Sandra Eversberg of Hollywood, MD, and Patrica Lewis of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by three nieces, four nephews, three great nieces and one great nephew. Michael was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he graduated from Chopticon High School Class of 1977. Mike was a third degree knight of St. John's Frances Regis Concel # 7914 in Hollywood, MD. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 27, 2006, from 2:00 â?? 5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers being said at 3:00 PM.
