Nancy Lee Mueller, 69, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 27, 2017 in her home. Born on August 3, 1947 in Leonardtown, MD. She was the daughter of the late Lydia Burroughs and Warren Burroughs. Nancy is survived by her husband Kenneth E. Mueller, Sr. who she married on February 8, 1969 in All Faith Episcopal Church Mechanicsville, MD. Nancy is survived by her children; Kenneth E. Mueller, Jr. (Latanya ) of Charleston, SC, Stacy M. Alvey (Joseph) of Colorado Springs, CO, four grandchildren; Andrew (14), Valerie (12), Ben (3), and AJ (6months). As well we her brothers; Robert Burroughs and James Burroughs both of Mechanicsville, MD. She was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident. Nancy graduated from Margaret Brent High School in 1965. She graduated from the University of Maryland earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Teaching. Nancy was a teacher for the St. Mary’s County Public Schools as well as an accountant for Edward Burroughs Accounting Office. She was a member of All Faith Episcopal Church in Mechanicsville, MD. Nancy enjoyed reading, puzzles, crafts and quilting. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM with prayers recited at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00 Am in All Faith Episcopal Church Mechanicsville, MD with Rev. Rich Kukowski officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be; James Burroughs, Hilary Copsey, Robert Burroughs, and Phillip Batts. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary’s P.O. Box 625 Leonardtown, MD 20609

    We are so very sorry, but, you already know that! Even though Nancy has been very ill for a long time, her strength and courage was amazing. She made the best of each day! We admired her ability to take each as they came, however they came, and deal with it. Rest now, Nancy! We will miss you, and, will do our very best help Kenny any way we can. 💟
