Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Christ Episcopal Church with Father William Neat officiating. Interment will be Private. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Oliver Alexander "Big Boy" Lyon, 80 of Clements, MD died February 5, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born November 15, 1925 in Budds Creek, MD he was the son of Alex Jarett and Margaret Irene Oliver Lyon. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann Rollins Lyon whom he married on February 18, 1961 in LaPlata United Methodist Church. He is survived by his children: Donna Marie Lyon and Robert Gary Lyon, Sr. both of Clements, MD; grandchildren: Robert Gary Lyon, Jr. and Jared Anthony Lyon both of Clements, MD; siblings: Virginia "Tootsie" Hayden of Bushwood, MD and Joyce L. Shepherd of Hollywood, MD. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Louie Linberg Lyon and Margaret Ruby Hicks. Mr. Lyon was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he attended Clements School House and was a farmer. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM.
