Paulette Faye Lazur

Paulette Faye Lazur, 82, of California, MD, formerly of Bethesda, MD, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at Discovery Commons at Wildewood. Born on September 27, 1942, in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Schechter and the late Wayne Schechter. Paulette is survived by her daughter, Michele Ehrmantraut (Wilfred “Bud”) of Lusby, MD, her grandchildren, Ashley of Chicago, IL, Wil, Jonathan, and Andrew, all of Lusby, MD and her former husband, Edward Lazur of Tierra Verde, FL. Paulette graduated from Northmont High School in 1960 and went on to attend Ohio State University. She was married in June 1966 and lived in north Dayton, OH. In 1978 she moved to Potomac, MD and worked as a technical librarian at IBM. In 1994 she moved to Westlake Towers in Bethesda and worked as an administrator for Lockheed Martin Corporation where she retired from in 2001. Paulette was a devoted Christian and very generous. She was a loving mom and grandma and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Discovery Commons at Wildewood and St. Mary’s Hospice for their compassionate care and support. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the historic church at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Solomons, MD where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW in honor of Paulette’s father Wayne Schechter. Condolences may be made to the family at www.mgfh.com.
