Born in: Leonardtown, Maryland
Resided in: Hollywood, Maryland

It is with a mix of sorrow and gratitude that we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Myers, who departed this life on September 25, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on December 17, 1949, in Leonardtown, MD, Peggy lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an enduring spirit that touched all who knew her.

Peggy graduated from Chopticon High School in 1969 and then dedicated her career serving others as a Cafeteria Worker for the Board of Education, where her efforts provided nourishment and comfort to countless students and staff. Her infectious smile and positive energy made the cafeteria a welcoming place. She retired in 2011 after 43 years.

Above all, Peggy cherished her family. Her love for them was evident in the joy she found in every gathering, conversation, and moment shared together. The warmth, devotion, and beautiful memories she gave them will remain in their hearts forever.

Peggy is survived by her beloved sisters, Elizabeth Goodard, Janie Lejeune, Judy Heard (Kenny) and Mary McGunnie, who will carry on her legacy of love and compassion. Though Peggy has left this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of calling her a friend and family member.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Lerty Holsinger, Minnie (Snyder) Holsinger, and her loving husband Ernest Myers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, with Pastor Dan Moore officiating. Interment to follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Heard, Buddy Guy, Jackie McGinnis, Chris Rawlings, Jeremy Hunley and David McGinnis.
