Ralph Elwood Pegg

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 16, 2005, at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Reese officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Public viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Ralph Elwood Pegg, 92, of Lexington Park, MD died December 11, 2005 in Lexington Park, MD. Born October 17, 1913, in Lexington Park, MD he was the son of the late William F. and Drucy Genevieve Pegg. He was the loving husband of Lucille C. Pegg whom he married on February 8, 1941 in St. Mary's County, MD. He is survived by his brother Ruby Morgan and his sister Lillian Smith both of Hollywood, MD. He was preceded in death by his sisters Leona Sanner and Helen Strickland and his brothers Richard Pegg and Charles Pegg. Mr. Pegg was a life long St. Mary's County resident and a graduate of Great Mills High School. He was a civil service employee at Patuxent River as a carpenter, until retiring in 1980 after 40 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, growing azalea's, and working on old tractors and trucks. The family received friends at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15, 2005. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Sheldon Reese officiating. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Edward Sanner, Robert Pegg, Richard Pegg, Ronald Regg, Donald Strickland, and Bruce Strickland.
