“Robbie always brought a smile to my face. From the time I was a kid golfing at Cedar Point, to when I was an adult working with him at JMF, he always spoke his mind but his words always had a message. You will be missed dearly Robbie!”
“Robbie was a unique character with his charm and wisdom. Working with Robbie for 14 years was a adventure to say the least.I truely thought of him as a friend. I will miss him”

“We were sorry to hear of Robbie’s passing. We were both co-workers with him at the EXCOMM bldg and will remember him fondly. He certainly was a character whose bark was worse than his bite. Rest in peace Robbie, it was a pleasure knowing you.”
“The world will be a little less bright without Robbie to come in and make sure to tell you to turn the darn lights on. You will be dearly missed and my condolences to the family. No matter how it seemed that you had no regard for anyone, those who knew you could always see that twinkle in your eyes that caused us to know better. Shake things up as always once you get to your final stop like I know you will.”
“Phyllis and family, we were so sorry to hear the sad news. Robbie is in our thoughts and prayes as are you, Robyn and Tommy. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
“I am so saddened by this news. I was just talking about Robbie to a few co-workers last week and how I wanted to stop at Toot’s to see him. I will miss him very much and will always remember how sweet he was through that tough guy persona. It was always a joy to be around him. He always made me laugh and all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him knows that his anecdotes will be engrained in our souls forever. He was one of a kind. I love you and will miss you!”
“Robbie was like an uncle to me growing up and his children my siblings – those fond memories are cherished and warm my heart.”
“I am deeply saddened to hear Robbie passed. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Robin was so kind to chat with us the day we visited. We watched him snore and all the while I was hoping he’d wake long enough to give me some crap! Knowing him was indeed an experience! His stories, smile (before and after teefths) endeared him to me. It was an honor to have met him. People come and go in our lives, but the “special” ones that touch your heart remain forever. May you rest in peace Robbie, cuz Lawd knows you didn’t give us any and for that I thank you Sir! I miss you. p.s. Lynn I still cook and am available for carryout. “

“I also am saddened by this loss. I worked at the same company with Robbie for several years and although I have been gone for many years he was a character I could never forget. He acted all mean and gruff but it was a cover for the really nice guy inside and he would so hate for that to get out. He will truly be missed.”
“Goodness I don’t even know where to start! Robbie was truly a wonderful person. Im so grateful to have met you and to have so many great memories of you. My sympathy goes out to your family Robbie! Rest in Paradise until we meet again my friend! “
“Robyn and Phyllis, my deepest sympathy to both of you losing Robbie. Robbie was a one of a kind co-worker. Nothing made him happier than to cuss and fuss with people, but I soon learned that he wanted you to do the same to him and than a smile would come across his face. I will treasure the years at Nokelby’s with the EXCOMM gang for attitude adjustment hour on Fridays. As Shelia Readmond would say we are just going for one and end up with another one and another one. Robbie loved to talk and drink his Miller Lite. He also loved to give his good friend Joe Liston a hard time and their friendship continued even after retirement. May God watch over you and help you through this painful time. “
“Oh Robbie you Ole’ Salt, those afternoon beers just wont taste the same without us tellin each other to screw off! Keep things squared away up there! “
“I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I started working for Robbie when I was 18 and he made me cry just about everyday!!! Once I learned that his bark was louder than his bite I was ok (It took about 5 years). He taught me a lot and I will always be greatful for that. My prayers are with the family during this time of great loss. Rest in peace Robbie…”

“For Robbie’s family, I pray for you to find the strength to get past this difficult time. I met Robbie in 1989 at Tracor and worked with him until he retired. The first time I talked to him he scared me like every other 18 year old girl, but that didn’t last long after he turned back around with a BIG smile on his face. That is when I realized he was a very sweet guy. I think back often, because it makes me laugh, when I brought my 3 yr old son Cameron to work. He was dressed in his cowboy outfit popping everyone with his plastic gun. We caught Robbie standing inside his open supply area. Cameron snuck up behind him, pointed his gun and said “stick em up”, Robbie turned around, Cameron popped his gun, and Robbie jumped. No matter how hard he tried to put on that grouch face all he could do was laugh. Thanks for all the great memories Robbie, I enjoyed all the emails keeping in touch after you retired, and I am sad we didn’t get the chance to see each other like we tried to plan. Rest in peace good friend! “
“Phyllis, Robin and Tommy I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Robbie was truly a great friend and a pleasure most of the time to work with! Hope heaven is prepared for his entry!! My prayers and thoughts are with you!”

“Phyllis and family, I found this 2 years ago when my dad passed away. I’m am so sorry for your lose. May god watch over you and take you in his arms and care for you during this troubled time. “Our Last Day of Goodbyes” By: Damien VonMozart I am gone, but please don’t cry for me. Just look back in my memory and you will see that I am standing tall and I’ll always be there. And no matter where you go, I am everywhere, my soul now lives in an everlasting light where visions of angels tomorrows children fill my sight. And if you ever find that you need me; simply kneel down and pray call out my name and rest assured that I am on my way. Though you won’t see me with your eyes, you will now that I’m near because in your ear I will weave a song that only you can hear from this your tears may fall, but they will not fall in vain for I will catch them and hold them internally. Until you join me in this land of eternity where I will return each tear into your eyes. Reassuring you that on the day I left was not our last day of goodbyes so live your life, and say your prayers at night. And one day you too will walk in the land of the everlasting light I will be waiting here for you to join me in heavens grace. And from that day on into forever we will live peacefully in Gods warm embrace. “
“There is no way that I will ever forget you. In my heart I know you are in a better place now.”

“Ole Robbie, We will miss seeing you almost every day if not every other day that the restaurant was open. It was so sad to hear you had gotten so sick all of the sudden and we didn’t get to see you when we reopened in March. We will Miss you and all of our lovely comments we had for each other when we saw you (inside joke, Robbie knows) You were truly one of a kind and you will always have a place in each of our hearts! Lynn you know where we are if you need anything. Love, The Capt. Leonard’s Employees”
“We was so sad to here the news of Robbie’s passing. We have lost a co-worker, fellow golfer, but most importantly a friend with such a rare sense of humor, a grouchy ole Navy guy with a heart twice the size of most. Happy hour will not be the same without that quick comment followed by that infectious smile!! Robbie will be missed greatly. Please accept our thoughts and prays for the family. “
“Dearest Robbie, I am so sorry to see you leave so soon. You have always brought a smile to my face. As gruff and tough as you tried to be you always followed up with a smile on your face. I will never forget the good old “EXCOMM” days. People like you taught me how to be a conscientious, hard working employee…with a little flavor! It was my pleasure knowing you. To the Robinson family, thank you for sharing you father, grandfather, and wonderful friend with us. I hope the wonderful memories will heal you quickly. I know that he will be with you and helping with any struggles you have in the future. May God be with all of your during this difficult time. “
“I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Robbie. I worked with Robbie from 1990 till he retired in 2004. May you rest in peace Robbie you will definately be missed.”
