Robert F. Perry, Sr., “Rob”, 69, of Leonardtown, MD, passed away on September 7, 2025, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Born on April 10, 1956, in California, MD, he was the son of the late Mary Madeline Perry and the late Frank Perry. Rob was the loving husband of Shirley Perry, whom he married on September 18, 1989, at the Leonardtown Courthouse. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert F. Perry, Jr. (Heather L. Perry) of Leonardtown, MD and Brandy A. Lorence (Thomas W. Lorence) of Hollywood, MD, his siblings, James W. Stanley of Mechanicsville, MD and Jeanie S. Montgomery of Rocky Mount, VA, and four grandchildren. Rob was preceded in death by his brother, Charles E. Stanley. Rob was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident and graduated from Great Mills High School in 1974. He was an Engineer Plant Operator for Pepco in Benedict, MD. Rob enjoyed camping, travelling, riding motorcycles, fishing, and crabbing. He also had a passion for classic cars and loved restoring them as well. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Perry, James Stanley, Jr., Joe Hall, Howard Thompson, Mike Simmons, and DeWayne Potter.   2. Shirley, Robby & Heather, Brandy & Tommy, Robert was a good friend to many. He stayed in touch with his boyhood friends, always talking about the old days. He loved his family, tickled that he was able to share his love of mustangs with Skylar &Nathan. He survived a terrible accident, and fought to stay with his family. He loved you all.
