Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Holy Face Catholic Church Great Mills, MD with Father Joseph Calis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 6:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Robert Leonard Smith, Jr., 64, of Callaway, MD passed away on November 28, 2013 in Washington, DC. Born on October 27, 1949 in Callaway, MD, he was the son of the late Frances Alberta Jordan Smith and Robert Leonard Smith, Sr. Robert was the loving husband of Maria Smith whom he married on December 21, 2011 in Leonardtown, MD. Robert is survived by his siblings; Patricia A. Smith, Francis M. Smith, Marilyn V. Smith, Philip A. Smith all of Callaway, MD and Patrick C. Smith of Hyattsville, MD. He was preceded in death by his siblings; James Clovis Smith and Mary Agnes Smith. Robert graduated from Great Mills High School in 1969 and was a warehouseman for Guy Distributing Company for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and football. The family will receive friend on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 6:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
