Services:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father Rory Conley officiating and Father John Dakis co-officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation:
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, July 15, 2005 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM.
Robert Phillip Nestlebush, 83, of Mechanicsville, MD died July 9, 2005. Born February 11, 1922 in Omaha, NE, he was the son of the late Bernard L. and Helen M. Good Nestelbush. He is survived by his wife, June Marie Nestlebush whom he married on July 19, 1947 in Omaha, NE. He is also survived by his children, Jayne Rivers and Angela Roberts of Maryland; Robert P. Nestlebush, Jr. of Arizona; Charles Nestlebush of California; Mary Therese Pierce of Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; and, three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Mary Christine Blythe and Joseph Nestlebush. Mr. Nestlebush was a graduate of Creighton Prep School and Creighton University Class of 1950 where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism. He relocated from Omaha, NE to St. Mary's County in 1978. He spent 65 years of his life working in Advertising and Journalism in both Arkansas and Nebraska. Mr. Nestlebush served his country during World War II in the U. S. Army from April 1943 until March 1946. He was awarded the EAMET Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Ribbon while performing the duties of a Tech 4 Surgical Technician. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity; the Board of Governors of Creighton University; and, various clubs and organizations in his Church. He also wrote for the Creighton College Newspaper for four years and was active in Cursillo in Memphis and the District of Columbia areas. Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2005 in Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM. Pallbearers for Mr. Nestlebush will be Robert Nestlebush, Jr., Charles Nestlebush, Robert :Rocky" Blythe, Merrill "Chico" Rivers, Kelly Pierce and Red Pierce.
