Robert West Ochterbeck

Services: A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 27 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mark Garrett officiating. Interment will be Private. Robert West Ochterbeck, 67, of Great Mills, MD died December 22, 2004 in Leonardtown, MD. Born February 8, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Berthold Hoffman and Lucille West Ochterbeck. He was the devoted husband of Irmgard Lina Ochterbeck. He is survived by his children, Peter Ochterbeck of Great Mills, MD and Ingrid Limerick of Pahrump, NV, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Berthold Ochterbeck, Sr. of New Freedom, PA. Mr. Ochterbeck graduated from Hereford High School, Class of 1954. He served in the U. S. Army from August, 1954 through August, 1962 and was awarded the Army Occupation of Germany Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He relocated to St. Mary's County from Calvert County in 2001. He was employed as a Sheetmetal Fabricator for Calvert Precision Products for over 40 years until his retirement in February, 2002 and was also a member of the Optimist Club. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004 at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Garrett officiating.
