Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bushwood, MD with Father Charles Cortinovis officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Ruby Lee Buckler, 66, of Clements, MD passed away on February 22, 2014 at her residence. Born on February 7, 1948 in Charlottesville, VA, she was the loving daughter of Mary Ruth Myers of Mechanicsville, MD and the late Virgil Leon Myers. Ruby is survived by her loving husband Francis Eugene Buckler of, whom she married on November 3, 1989 in Leonardtown, MD. Ruby is survived by her children: Sharon Ann Downs and Robert Dale Downs both of Mechanicsville, MD, Francis Eugene Buckler, Jr. of Clements, MD, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Ruby graduated from Oxon Hill high school in 1964 and moved from Oxon Hill, MD to St. Mary’s County in 1965. She worked as a Bus Driver for Burroughs Busses for 45 years retiring in June, 2012. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayer recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bushwood, MD with Father Charles Cortinovis officiating. Interment will be private. Pallbearers will be; Robert Dale Downs, Francis Eugene Buckler, Jr., Kenny Myers, Bobby Myers, Tommy Myers, and Mike Myers. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary’s P.O. Box 625 Leonardtown, MD 20650. A gathering will take place after mass in the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge Mechanicsville, MD. Food donations may be dropped off prior to Mass. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
