Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morganza, MD with Father Dave Werning officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Visitation: Public Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 10, 2004 from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being held at 7:00 PM and Optimist Prayers at 7:15 PM. Samuel "Sam/Robbie" Joseph Morgan, Jr., 66, of Mechanicsville, MD, died May 7, 2004 in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born January 18, 1938 in Clements, MD he was the son of Margaret Gertrude Owens and the late Samuel Joseph Morgan, Sr. He was survived by his wife Evelyn Estelle Payne Morgan, whom he married May 21, 1960 in St. Joseph's Church, Morganza, MD. He is survived by his daughters Robin Teresa Lusby and her husband Carrol Blaine Lusby, Jr., of Lusby, MD, Bonnie Lee Espina and her husband Mark Lloyd Espina of Indian Head, MD, Pamela Anne Morgan of Mechanicsville, MD, and Marcia Lynn Morgan of Hollywood, MD; sisters Joyce Hart and her husband Joey of Mechanicsville, MD, JoAnne Pegg and her husband Ronnie of Mechanicsville, MD and brother Archie Morgan, Jr. and his wife Lois of Mechanicsville, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Lynn Espina, Andrea Renee Espina, Allison Marie Espina, Mark Ryan Espina, Steven Blaine Lusby, Samuel Morgan Lusby, David Allen Thompson and great grandchild Mehki Dante Bannister. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his step-father Archie Morgan, Sr., and his brother Melvin Douglas Morgan. He was a retired truck driver. He was active member of the Mechanicsville Optimist Club. Prayers for Mr. Morgan were said Monday, May 10, 2004 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where the family received friends from 5-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, May 11, 2004 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morganza, MD with father David Werning officiating. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for Mr. Morgan were Robert Burch, Glenn Burch, Mark Burch, Alan Burch, George Payne, Johnny Burch and John Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Lusby, Samuel Lusby, Ryan Espina, David Thompson, Barry C. Hall and Jimmy Payne. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association 415 N. Charles Street P.O.
