God has received another angel from earth. Steve was always a sweet and caring guy. We purchased a truck for our son Seth and within a year he totaled it on Mattapany Road. Steve was so concerned and was glad to see Seth walking around. The Police said they do not no how Seth survive. So when we returned to Steve to purchase another vehicle. He picked Seth out a Jeep. He said this one was designed to roll, then laughed. I will never forget the compassion and love he showed in our time of need. Now it is our turn to return the favor to his family. We are just a phone call away at anytime you need us. You are in our heart!

    To the Kessler Family.
I (Shelby) remember him always waving to me as I drove by to go to my grandma’s house only 3 houses from his. I also remember going to town and passing him walking on the side of the road back to the bus garage not even 3 months ago, I turned around and gave him a ride back since it was really hot.
He will truly be missed, he was such a great caring guy.

    To: The Kessler Family
Steve was a real prayer warrior. Many Sunday mornings we would meet prior to our worship services and Steve would touch Heaven with his intercessory prayers. Steve’s heart would be broken for the lost people in St. Mary’s County. He was the most giving and caring person anyone could ever know. His influence was so far reaching throughout our school system and our business world. God would definitely find Steve to be a Faithful Servant.

Steve was always kind. He will be sorely missed. His passing is a huge loss for SMCPS and St. Mary’s County. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  37. Renee, Kyle, Becca, Nicole, Lennard, Peggy, Barbara, Annette, Jay, Mike, all the family,

We are so sad to learn of Steve’s passing. He was such a good friend and Board member at The Kings Christian Academy. He helped us so much with our buses.
We remember many acts of kindness to all those in the school family. He was a very
    compassionate, caring, Christian man.

We will miss him. Our loss will be heaven’s gain. We know that he is in the
arms of our Savior and Lord today.

    Bless you,
    Sarah & Mike Patterson

  38. Dear Kessler Family,
We are holding you all up in our prayers. We all know where Steve is now. We just want to help remind you that the God of the Mountain is still God in the Valley. As I helped withe parking lot at church today, I asked a good many of the younger adults attending how they knew Steve and the majority of them answered that he was “Uncle Steve”. When I would ask further, they would respond that he was always there for me and my kids just like a real uncle. I think that says a lot about the man and “Witness” that Steve was. Love to the family, Rick and Linda Carroll

  39. William & Louise Barnes says:

However, take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, he will not be forgotten.
