  22. “Kenny, Judy Di, Julie, Chet, Mitch and Carlene…Words will never express the wonderful person that I know Teddy Wathen was. I have known him since I was a little boy, 2 years old, and all the family. Teddy tried to convince everyone how obstinate, anti-social, anti everything he was…but it didn’t work. He let his guard down more than once. Actions will always speak louder than words and Teddy’s actions certainly were him. When I broke my neck and was in the hospital for months, Teddy either came, called or wrote me notes. When I got home, he drove me more times than I can remember to the firehouse, therapy, doctors, wherever I needed to go and would not accept anything for it. More than once, we came home at midnight or later in snow storms and would just laugh and carry on. As neighbors, we shared gossip, beer, sometimes something stronger, and a bond that was formed in the fire department. I will miss dropping by the house for a visit, a drink, and plowing him out when it snowed. Teddy, all of us have our faults, and you did too. That being said, there is no friend more true than you. Thick, thin, agree or disagree, you were a friend to many of us. Your stories, your friendship and your legend will live on for many, many years. I am proud to call you my friend and I will miss my friend. Oh, and by the way Teddy, we know you are there, wherever there is so, knock off the storms, would ya? “

Please let us know if there is anything we can do.”
