  1. My deepest condolences on the loss of Mr.Tippett RIP

  2. Charles & Lori Shilling says:

It is with a very sad heart that on the very day my wife Lori and I returned from travel outside of the U.S. we learned of our dear Eddie’s sudden departure. I would like to share with Agnes and all of her and Eddie’s family and friends that in addition to losing one of my Brother Knights, who was a “Lifetime Member” with the Knights of Columbus, that we also lost a loving and “Gentleman”. A man who chose to live a humble life with a simple demeanor but in reality was a gentle giant among Christian men. Eddie led by example, and always shared with each of us his loving and kindhearted nature. Eddie was an inspiration to all that knew him. I know that in addition to my wife and me, Eddie will be missed by our Holy Face Knights of Columbus Council 3849, who as a group of Christian men greatly enjoyed spending time with Eddie during various fishing activities to catch the Big Ones!

Eddie truly touched many hearts. Eddie and his wife’s Agnes after the sudden and tragic loss of their only son, Thomas (Tony) Tippett made it their life’s work to create and build the Southern Maryland Youth Memorial to help comfort others in the future who would suffer the loss of a child. Eddie was, and is, a true example and testament to the “Good Deeds” we are ask as Christians to do while we are here on earth. Eddie’s effort to follow God’s examples of Christian Life, even after the senseless and painful loss of his and Agnes’s only son, is a spiritual message and gift to all of us that will dwell and endure in our hearts forever.

    With Deep Sympathy and Love,
    Your Friend and Brother Knight,
Charles F. Shilling & Lori Shilling & Family
