Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Claver Catholic Church with Fr. Damian Shadwell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. Thomas "Moot" Eugene Day, 77, of Callaway, MD died June 30, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital.Born June 3, 1929 in Jarboeville, MD he was the son of the late Samuel and Florence Rosalie Chase Day. He was beloved friend of the late Pearl Marie Lawrence. He is survived by his childern Cecelia Toland of Great Mills, MD; Edith Butler of Callaway, MD; Patsy Day of Lexington Park, MD; Sharon Harris of South Boston, VA; Diane Wynn of Waukegan, Il;Rose Day of Landover, MD; Shirley Porter of Richmond, VA; Linda Bonds of Callaway, MD; and Thomas Day Jr. and James Day. He is also survived by siblings Bernard Day, Joseph Day, Gertrude Brown, Mary Morgan, Regina Mason all of Lexington Park, MD ; Margaret Pittman and Charles Day both of Richmond, VA; and Leon Day of California, MD. He is also survived by twenty â??two grandchildren and forty great grandchildren. He graduated from Carnial Gibbons Institute. He was a life long St. Mary's County Resident where he worked as a tobacco farmer for Mr. Owens. The Family received friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, in St. Peter Claver Catholic Church where A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with Fr. Damian Shadwell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Awin Day, Jerome Nelson, Kevin Johnson, Charles Remied, Ron Blackiston and Tyrone Coleman.
