Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD with Father Rory T. Conley officiating. Interment will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation: Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in the funeral home from 4:00 - 8:00 PM with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM followed by Fireman Prayers at 7:15 PM. Thomas Lynch Scully, 57, of Leonardtown, MD died on January 3, 2005 in Leonardtown, MD. Born November 9, 1947 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Mary Jane Abell Scully of Leonardtown, MD and the late John Francis Scully. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Leone Gatton of Hollywood, MD, John Michael Scully, Kenneth Joseph Scully, Carl Benjamin Scully and Adelaide Watts all of Leonardtown, MD. Mr. Scully was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident and graduate of Chopticon High School Class of 1966. He served in National Guard from 1967 â?? 1973 and was the Office Manager for AAA Materials. He has been a member of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department since 1963 and he was also a volunteer worker at the St. Mary's County Fair. The family will receive friends today Wednesday, January 5 from 4:00 â?? 8:00 PM with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM and Fireman Prayers at 7:15 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be John O. Gatton, Jr., Billy Watts, Chris Scully, Keith Watts, Jonathan Scully and Michael Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department. Contributions may be made to the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 50, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
