Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Lexington Park, MD with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Lexington Park, MD from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Timothy “Timmy” William Babcock, 58, of Callaway, MD passed away at his home on February 24, 2015. Born on June 18, 1956, in Patuxent River, MD, he was the son of the late Jane Mildred “Millie” Babcock and Robert “Bob” Babcock of Lexington Park, MD. Timmy was the loving husband of Jeannie Babcock, whom he married on February 5, 1988; they were married for 27 years. Timmy is survived by his children; Eric Babcock of Brown County, TX., Tina Babcock and Kristin Hibbs both of Lexington Park, MD, George Hibbs of Newtown, PA., 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons. Siblings; Albert Babcock of California, MD, Ronald Babcock of Lusby, MD, Pamela Powell of Hollywood, MD, Patricia Alderman of Great Mills, MD, and Kathleen Babcock of Lexington Park, MD. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Babcock of Lexington Park, MD. Timmy was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, MD, and attended Great Mills High School, Great Mills, MD. He worked as a Drapery Craftsman for the Federal Government in the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC for 32 years retiring on July 2, 2013. Timmy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. Timmy was an avid Softball player in the Rocking Chair and Young Men’s League; and he was inducted into the St. Mary’s County Hall of Fame. Timmy was a huge fan of the Detroit Lions, Piston, Tigers and Redwings. He enjoyed going to the Maryland International Raceway with his children watching the races. He also loved classic rock and to cook “spaghetti dinners” on Sunday for the family. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lexington Park, MD. Where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
