Tracey Colleen Yates, 67, of Clements, MD, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD, on May 13, 2026. She was one of four children to the late Francis Ira (Jake) Yates and the late Marjorie (Margie) Ann Jackson Yates. She graduated from Chopticon High School in 1977. In addition to her parents, Tracey is preceded in death by her sister Kathryn Ann Adkins. She is survived by her brothers, George (Chris) Yates and Joseph (Joey) Yates, along with her nieces, Lauren Darbie and Katie Yates, her nephews Kevin Adkins and Christopher Yates (Mandy), her great niece, Layla Darbie and her great nephews, Trenton Darbie, Owen Yates, Landon Yates, and Jaxson Yates, as well as so many of her close loving extended family. Tracey loved fiercely. She adored her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Tracey was known as Aunt TT, not only by just her nieces and nephews, but many others. She loved that title and was a Great Aunt TT to many. She was the best Mom to her fur babies, Abbey and Alvey. Tracey took pride in cutting her grass and spending time in the sun. She was a great friend to many and was always willing to help. She loved going to horse pulls, rooting on her favorite pull team. After her retirement, she worked for her friend Ronnie Farrell, clerking at his auctions. Tracey was famous for her shrimp salad; it was requested for each family gathering. Tracey could be found most mornings in the Dunkin Donut line getting her French Vanilla Iced Coffee or the next best place, Wawa. Tracey loved a good cup of coffee. Her bright smile/whacky sense of humor will be greatly missed. After graduating high school, Tracey worked at St. Mary’s Hospital before starting her career at NAVAIR. Friends Tracey worked with at NAVAIR said she was always fun to be around. Whenever they were together, she could always make them laugh. Her personality was one of a kind, funny, caring, and very conscience of her work. Her face would light up when she talked about her mother and father. She always talked about her little dogs, Abbey and Alvey, and all the little kids on the farm in her family. A Mass of Christiean Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph’s Church, Morganza, MD, with Father Drew Officiating.
