Vernon Alphonso Greene

Vernon Alphonso Greene, “Al”, 57, of Callaway, MD, passed away on February 23, 2022 in Callaway, MD. Born on January 28, 1965, he was the son of Helena M. Greene of Callaway, MD, and the late Sterling E. Greene, Sr. Vernon is survived by his siblings Ronald X. Greene (Paula) of King George, VA, Wilbur A. Greene, Sr. (Nadine) of Gloucester, VA, Gary T. Greene of Gloucester, VA, Toney M. Greene of Waldorf, MD, and Kenny T. Greene (Brandie) of Waldorf, MD. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sterling E. Greene, Jr. Vernon was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident, and graduated from Leonardtown High School in 1984. He was an agricultural worker for over 20 years. Vernon enjoyed detailing cars, lawn care, and word puzzles and searches. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Father David Beaubien officiating. Readings will be read by Dr. Victoria Goring New Testament Revelation 21:4-6, Marie Herndon Old Testament Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 and the full obituary will be read. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Terrill Greene, Troy Greene, Ernest Price, Wilbur Greene, Toney M. Greene, and Kenny Greene.
