A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ivory L. Teaque officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Face Catholic Cemetery Great Mills, MD.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
Virginia Mary Perkins, 84, the daughter of William Billy Lawrence and Ada Mills was born October 2, 1929 in Dameron, Maryland; she departed this life on June 21, 2014.
Virginia Mary attended Little Flower Catholic School in Callaway, MD then moved to Baltimore, MD., where she met her first husband Ennels Lawrence (now Deceased) they had 2 Sons Ronnie and Jr., she then moved to Washington, DC where she met second husband Daniel Perkins (now deceased). They had 7 daughters and 2 Sons Mary (Sugar Pie) Odessa (Sista), Juanita, Jackie, Doretha, Katana, Connie, Donnell, and Venari (Bubbie).
Virginia Mary Perkins was a house wife and a nurturing mother; those how had an opportunity to know her will remember her as a warm, loving, and generous women. She was a strong-willed woman who made time for others; she was cherished and loved by her family and friends
Virginia Mary’s past time was spent at one point and time ushering at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, watching the stories, playing cards, going to the slots (she was lucky too) and spending time with her family.
Virginia Mary Leaves to cherish in her loving memory her daughters; Mary, Odessa, Katana, Connie, Juanita, Jackie, and sons Donnell and Bubbie, her only sister, Edith Lawrence, grandchildren, Tisha, Lakisha, Joann, Gregory, Joseph, CJ, Calvin, Emmanuel, Devin, Mark, and Andre, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great grandchild.

I’m going to miss that beautiful smile of hers and those big hugs, She had lots of love to go around…… She’s now Gone on home with the Lord. but never will be forgotten. may she Rest in Paradise ! “
