Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday,October 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Francis Early officating. Visitation: The family will recieve friends Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 2:00-5:00 PM with prayers being said at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A. Walter Mitchell "Bill" Norris, 78, of Clements, MD and formerly of Avenue, MD died October 23, 2006 in Washington Hospital Center. He was born October 6, 1928 to the late Joseph Irving and Mary Eva Downs Norris. He was the loving husband of Agnes Mabel Johnson Norris whom he married in the historic St. Aloysius Rectory Chapel, Leonardtown, MD on February 10, 1962. He also was the devoted father of Charles Kevin Norris of Clements, MD. He is also survived by his brother and sisters Joseph Allan Norris of Avenue, MD, Mary Elizabeth Dixon of Pleasanton, CA and Teresa Marie Norris of Upper Marlboro, MD. Mr. Norris was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident and was a School Bus Contractor for the St. Mary's County Public School System for 52 Years, he also enjoyed farming. He was a former member of the Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department for approximately 10 years. The family will receive friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home on Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 2 â?? 5 PM with Prayers being said at 3:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Francis J. Early officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Daniel Alvey, William Carroll Johnson, James Bartholomew Norris, Jr. Joseph Augustine Turner, Joseph Allan Norris, Jr. and Charles Kevin Norris.
