WILLIAM CARL TAYLOR, 56 of Lexington Park passed away peacefully on March 17, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Washington, D.C. with friends and family by his side. William, better known as Billy to his family and friends was born on February 10, 1959 to Mary Dyson and the late Joseph Taylor.
After completing his education in the St. Mary’s County Public School System in 1977, he went on to join the U.S. Army National Guard. During his time in the National Guard he found a passion for cars. He performed his mechanic skills over 38 years and became known as “the man to get the job done and get it done correctly the first time”. You would often find Billy working tireless hours, hot and cold days to find the problem so he could fix it. Billy also built and customized his own race cars, which he raced at Budds Creek International Raceway. Junk Yard Dog and Bump and Grind were two of his proud race cars. Billy was also the founder and owner of Mr. T Janitorial and Lawn Service. He truly was an entrepreneur.
Billy loved life and all it had to offer. He enjoyed eating out at his favorite restaurants, such as Outback Steakhouse and Golden Corral and he loved doing oyster scald in his backyard. As long as he was with family and friends that was all that mattered to him because he enjoyed the company of all.
Now as he embarks on his well-deserved journey to heaven, he leaves to cherish his memory is his dear sweet mother, Mary Dyson; four sisters, Gloria Taylor, Rosemary Taylor, Gladys Taylor, and Bernice Dorsey (Melvin); One brother, Chester Taylor, all of Lexington Park, MD. One Uncle Howard Young (Martha); three aunts; Rebecca Morgan, Evelyn Thomas and Alice Countess. Two Godsons, Lonnel Belcher, Jr. and Tresonne Thomas and two Goddaughters, LaSawn Forbes and Kyra Milburn. He also leaves to cherish is memories are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. Billy had no kids of his own but was pleased and more than willing to assist in the upbringing of Sharika Robinson, Denise Wood (James), Tarvon Nolan (Tiffany), Katwinis Faxon (David), Natnika Nolan, and Shataria Hopson.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Taylor, three brothers, Francis, Joseph and Melvin Taylor; and one sister, Theresa Taylor.
