William Stuart "Billy" Dyson

William S. "Billy" Dyson, 78, of Valley Lee, MD died June 27, 2007 at Washington Hospital Center. Born January 5, 1929 in Hermanville, MD he was the son of the late Oden M. and Margaret L. Watts Dyson. He was the loving husband of Phyllis A. Smith Dyson whom he married on August 11, 2002. He is survived by his step-children; Pamela Nelson Sparks and her husband Tommy , Joe Nelson and his wife Michelle, all of Great Mills, MD, Trichia Smith Beekman and her husband Danny, of Lexington Park, MD and Tina Smith of Callaway, MD, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings; John Dyson, Brent Dyson, Jimmy Dyson, Carol Dyson, Edward Dyson, Martin Dyson, Margaret Clark and Edith Thompson. Billy was a graduate of Great Mills High School and was the owner of Dyson Gulf Station and Bon Bon Boutique and he also enjoyed antique cars. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 2:00-5:00 PM in Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD where a funeral service will be held 3:00 PM with Fr. Zygmunt Kurzawinski officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Lexington Park, MD with Pastor Henry Briscoe officiating. Pallbearers will be Joe Nelson, Brandon Smith, Tommy Thompson Jr., Mike Thompson, Joe Thompson Jr. and Christopher Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Sparks, Daniel Beekman, Daniel Thompson and Lee Dyson. Contributions may be made to House of Disciples Church, 21764 S. Coral Drive, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
