Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:30 AM in St. George Catholic Church Valley Lee, MD with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. William “Billy” Thomas Feldman, 68, of Drayden, MD passed away on October 5, 2014 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center after a courageous battle with heart problems with his family by his side. Born on August 17, 1946 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Herman and Thelma Feldman. Billy was the loving husband of Catherine “Kitty” Feldman, whom he married in Leonardtown, MD on November 27, 1970. Along with his loving wife, Billy is survived by his sister in law Dawn “Shelley” Dougherty (Tommy), brother in law Francis “Jr.” Knott, nieces Stacey Marshall (Peter), Beth Dougherty (John), Camryn Dougherty, great niece Alexis Marshall, and great nephew Zachary Marshall. Billy and Kitty did not have children; but always considered and treated Shelley, Stacey, Beth and Camryn as their own. Billy is also survived by his sister Margie Joy (Elwood), brother George Feldman (Catherine), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Hayden (Donnie). Billy graduated from Great Mills High School in 1966 and served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He enjoyed telling the stories of his Army life and his travels. He was a waterman all his life and the owner and operator of Feldman’s Marine Railways from 1972 until having to retire due to poor health. Billy was a fun loving and hard working man dedicated to those closest to him. He loved the water, but more than anything he loved his wife. Billy always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face that will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
